In this key role, you will develop cloud-based networking and security management solutions, working on new products and features that directly impact our customers. You will also be responsible for building microservices in near real-time environments as part of a dynamic scrum team.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></div> <ul> <li><strong>Software Development</strong>: Implement scalable, stable, and secure coding patterns. Develop high-scale microservices with near real-time performance and contribute to Cato’s web application through backend and full-stack development.</li> <li><strong>Code Reviews</strong>: Ensure quality, test coverage, and security in code reviews.</li> <li><strong>Technical Specifications</strong>: Understand the architecture and connected features of solutions. Architect end-to-end solutions for complex features, document trade-offs, and provide feedback on specifications.</li> <li><strong>Support/On-Call Rotation</strong>: Respond to outage incidents and troubleshoot security issues.</li> </ul> <div><br><strong>Technology Stack:</strong></div> <ul> <li>Java, Spring Boot</li> <li>AWS (SQS, KMS, DocDB, S3), Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB</li> <li>Golang, TypeScript, React</li> </ul> <div><br><strong>Requirements:</strong></div> <ul> <li>5+ years of backend development experience with proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.</li> <li>Proven experience in high-performance environments and benchmark evaluation.</li> <li>Expertise in architecture, design, and development of complex web applications.</li> <li>Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana is a strong advantage.</li> <li>Familiarity with SaaS/Cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) is an advantage.</li> <li>Experience with web development using Go and GraphQL is a plus.</li> <li>Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.</li> <li>Self-learner with the ability to acquire new skills and technologies quickly.</li> <li>Motivated, fast learner, independent, and adept at problem-solving.</li> <li>BSc in Computer Science from a recognized university.</li> </ul> <div><strong> </strong><br><strong>Dev Lifecycle:</strong><br>You’ll receive <strong>spec</strong> definitions from Product Management, you’ll review the spec and work on a suitable <strong>design</strong>, and once ready you’ll conduct a <strong>Design Review</strong> meeting.<br>Having the design approved, you’ll write great code, build and deploy your artifact to k8s, and <strong>test</strong> it.<br>You’ll make sure the feature can be <strong>monitored</strong>, having metrics and alerts defined.<br><br><strong>About App Security Group:</strong><br>This group provides security & visibility for SaaS applications being used by organizations (i.e. used by Cato’s customers).<br>We are doing it by integrating with these 3rd party vendors ( like Salesforce, Slack, ServiceNow, Dropbox etc.) using their public APIs, fetching data on various activities (sign-ins, sharing, exporting etc.) and bringing it into Cato platform, enforcing relevant security policy in supported apps.<br>We’re expanding our capabilities by designing & building an infrastructure that will allow us to accommodate a large scale of applications and support additional use cases brought up by Cato’s product team.<br><br><strong>*We operate in a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office.</strong><br><strong>*Location: NR7, Náměstí republiky, Prague, Czech Republic.</strong></div> </div>
