In this critical role, you will support the entire R&D operation, by providing automated tools and CI/CD processes.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be the owner of continuous delivery and deployment processes of all of Cato's software projects, build them from the bottom up, and keep extending them.</li> <li> Collaborate with R&D and other departments to provide and improve self-service tools and automate whatever can be automated.</li> <li>Help different departments be more productive in their day-to-day and improve overall developer experience.</li> <li>Lead technical projects from discovery and design through implementation and rollout.</li> <li>Partner with engineering teams to understand pain points, gather requirements, and improve developer workflows.</li> <li>Define roadmaps and break down large initiatives into actionable plans and deliverables.</li> <li>Contribute to our internal engineering portal and other developer-facing platforms.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li> At least 5 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory).</li> <li>Experience in Docker & container technology. Bonus - Experience building and operating production systems on Kubernetes.</li> <li>Proven programming and scripting experience - e.g. Go, Groovy, Python, Bash.</li> <li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li> <li>Ability to work in a dynamic multi-task environment with context switches.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills.</li> <li>Ability to independently identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive execution.</li> <li>Comfortable working directly with engineers, technical leads, and engineering managers.</li> <li>Strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of and a passion for configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.</li> <li>Experience with cloud IaaS such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and SaaS platforms in general.</li> <li>Experience with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD.</li> <li>Software development experience in a backend language (Go is a strong advantage).</li> <li>Experience designing developer self-service workflows.</li> <li>Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives.</li> <li>Experience leading projects or owning significant technical initiatives end-to-end. </li> </ul> <p><strong>*We operate in a hybrid model, requiring three days in the office.</strong><br><strong>*Location: NR7, Náměstí republiky, Prague, Czech Republic.</strong></p>
