Configuration Developer - Analyst

<p class="x_xxelementtoproof"><strong><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">About the Role</span></strong></p> <p class="x_xxelementtoproof">iCapital is looking to hire an Analyst Configuration Developer who is responsible for implementing and maintaining business rules within FireLight®, Hexure’s (now part of iCapital) proprietary SaaS electronic fulfillment platform. This role builds on foundational configuration skills to handle moderately complex business logic, ensuring that financial product applications are completed “In-Good-Order” with accuracy, completeness, and compliance. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality solutions, improve user experience, and meet project timelines and KPIs.<strong> </strong></p> <p class="x_xxelementtoproof"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Configure and maintain business rules within FireLight® to drive accurate and compliant user experiences for financial product applications.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Implement configuration components including Role Codes, Review Queues, Needs Determination, mapping documents, and admin mappings.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Ensure applications meet standards across completeness, compliance, and business requirements.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Participate across the SDLC including requirements understanding, configuration, testing, and deployment support.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Perform unit and integration testing to validate accuracy and quality of configured business rules.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Support customer deployments, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of configurations.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Monitor and resolve issues via ticketing systems (Jira), ensuring timely turnaround and minimal client disruption.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Provide Tier 2 production support by troubleshooting configuration-related issues and triaging client tickets.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects, improve configurations, and enhance platform performance.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Use AI tools to accelerate rule creation, scenario testing, and issue investigation to improve efficiency and reduce rework.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Ensure adherence to coding best practices including simplicity, modularity, and reusability.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Meet utilization, productivity, and quality benchmarks, including low churn and on-time delivery.</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Participate in team meetings, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.</li> </ul> <p class="x_xxelementtoproof"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">1–3 years of experience in a technical or configuration-focused role</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Strong proficiency in XML (creation, editing, troubleshooting) and understanding of structured business logic</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a SaaS environment</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Familiar with FireLight® platform components and configuration concepts (or ability to ramp quickly)</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Working knowledge of tools such as Jira (ticketing), OpenAir (time tracking), Notepad++ (rule development), and Adobe Acrobat</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Exposure to integrations with third-party platforms (i.e. Salesforce, Redtail, Yellow Pages) is a plus</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Foundational understanding of financial services domain (insurance, annuities, life insurance processes, compliance requirements)</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Self-driven with a learning mindset and willingness to adopt new technologies, including AI-enabled tools</li> <li class="x_xxmsonormal">Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
