If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.</div>The Role As Principal Designer at Mochi Health, you'll lead the creation of healthcare experiences that feel effortless, trustworthy, and human. You'll build and lead a design team responsible for every patient and provider touchpoint—from our marketplace discovery experience to medication management tools to clinical workflows. This isn't about making healthcare prettier; it's about making it work. This is a player-coach role (roughly 80% hands-on IC work, 20% management). You'll be partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Operations to ensure design drives strategy. You'll establish design systems, processes, and culture that scale with our rapid growth while maintaining the quality and craft that earns patient trust in a regulated, high-stakes industry. This is fundamentally an individual-contributor role, not a management-heavy position. The majority of your time will be spent directly in the work: designing flows in Figma, owning key interactions end-to-end, and solving hard design problems hands-on. You'll lead a small, high-leverage team of 5-7 designers and researchers rather than a large organization—enough to scale design quality, without pulling you away from the craft itself.
