That’s where you come in.</p> <p><strong>The Challenge to Solve</strong></p> <p>Slice’s DevEx Platform teams build and evolve the internal developer platform, GitOps workflows, Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling that power engineering across Slice. We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead the DevEx team, who can help raise the bar for reliability, security, and operational excellence. Measure success by improved deployment velocity, system reliability, platform adoption, and developer productivity—not just features shipped or tools built.</p> <p><strong>Lead technical direction</strong></p> <p>Guide architecture and technical strategy across our Internal Developer Platform, deployment workflows, and cloud infrastructure. Help the team build reusable patterns, self-service tooling, and strong guardrails that make the right thing the easy thing.</p> <p>You should be comfortable leading teams working with:</p> <ul> <li>Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and cloud-native architecture.</li> <li>ArgoCD & GitOps principles for safe, scalable application delivery.</li> <li>Python for internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure management.</li> <li>GitHub Actions & CI/CD pipeline automation.</li> <li>Network architecture, DNS, Cloudflare. </li> <li>Datadog (dashboards, metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and Terraform.</li> <li>Generative AI tools to develop and deploy applications, including agentic applications/services using LLM APIs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Build a highly effective team</strong></p> <p>Give platform engineers context, clear decision boundaries, and meaningful ownership.
