This role offers an exciting opportunity to litigate high-stakes intellectual property cases involving PlayStation video games and products. It also provides leadership opportunities to mentor team members and develop innovative approaches to leveraging AI. Join us as we work on cutting-edge legal issues involving SIE’s patents, trademarks, and copyrights in a rapidly evolving legal landscape!</span></p> <p style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>What You'll Be Doing:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Manage cutting-edge IP litigation, including by working with outside counsel to develop strategy and managing litigation budgets.  </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Respond to third party subpoenas and other requests for information, documents, and/or witness testimony. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Strategize with leadership and business partners regarding IP litigation risks, pre-litigation disputes, and ongoing IP litigation matters. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Assist with developing policies, procedures, playbooks, and guidelines. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Partner with colleagues in other regions, including the UK, Europe, and Asia on international disputes and pre-litigation risk assessments and strategy development. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Mentor and help train attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. </span></div> </li> </ul> <p style="color: !important;"><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li data-section-id="1edk4s7" data-start="356" data-end="402">Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school.</li> <li data-section-id="1f1n3o8" data-start="403" data-end="498">Current member in good standing of a U.S. state bar; California Bar membership preferred.</li> <li data-section-id="1w8kan" data-start="499" data-end="678">If not admitted in California, must be eligible to obtain Registered In-House Counsel status in California promptly upon hire and maintain that status throughout employment.</li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">At least 12 years of experience as either in-house litigation counsel and/or outside counsel litigating intellectual property cases in federal and state courts, with a minimum of 4 years of experience at a law firm.</span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Experience litigating intellectual property cases, including complex patent litigation matters. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Experience advising business leaders regarding dispute resolution and mitigation of legal risk. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute collaboratively as a team player. </span></div> </li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, strong analytical skills, and a great attitude. </span></div> </li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;">#LI-SF1 </span></p> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.<br></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br>Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may inc
