It’s a complex multi-faceted problem that requires optimization across the business (customer experience, merchant management, delivery efficiency & effectiveness) to provide fast and cost-effective experience to our customers and partners.</p> <p>As a senior technical leader in Eats Engineering, you will drive cross-team initiatives that are critical to business growth while ensuring engineering excellence. You will ensure all of Eats Engineering platforms are scalable, extendable, and highly available. You will be comfortable getting into code level details with other engineers and building software.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>• Provide technical leadership to Eats Engineering organization and ensure that our engineers are working on building scalable and fault-tolerant systems<br>• Engage with senior leadership and product owner(s) in developing and executing technical strategy and roadmap ensuring scalability and simplicity<br>• Drive mission critical projects in collaboration with various stakeholders and engineers to solve complex business problems<br>• Own the overall architecture plan and application of best practice architecture, design patterns and ongoing simplification of the system landscape<br>• Dive deep to solve critical system issues. Ideally identify them before they happen and device a plan to address them<br>• Help recruit top tier senior engineers to develop and grow a high performance and impact-driven organization<br>• Develop, mentor, and coach engineers on architecture, design and engineering best practices<br>• Communicate clearly and concisely with the team members, peers and leadership team<br>• Own definition, measurement, and reporting of system and operational metrics</p> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong><br>• 10+ years of industry experience building B2C scale products, preferably in Java stack and AWS cloud environment<br>• 7+ years of experience in technical leadership roles.
