About Juno

Juno leverages collective bargaining power to secure better student loan rates for students. With 290,000+ members and over $2B in negotiated loan volume, we've proven that group buying works. We are the most popular way to pay for the world's top graduate programs, and we're looking for someone to own the communications that reach our members at the moments that decide whether they borrow with us.

The Problem:

Federal lending reforms have created a significant market shift. In July 2026, new caps on federal graduate loans, including the elimination of Grad PLUS for new students, came into effect, leaving millions of students with significant funding gaps. Students need transparent, competitive private options, exactly what Juno provides.

Your mission:

We're seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to own how Juno talks to its members across all our products and business lines. Most of that conversation happens over email and SMS: Juno sends at high volume to a member base of 290,000+, and the gap between a good send and a great one is measured in funded loans.

You'll be the person who turns what we know about our members into the right message, to the right audience, at the right moment in their borrowing cycle, and who can prove what it did. This role is based in our Miami office, and you'll train in person with our team during your first few months.

What you’ll do:

Own member communications end to end: Write, build, QA, and ship email and SMS campaigns and automated flows in Customer.io across grad, undergrad, and refi.

Own the Juno voice: Write messages that are clear, accurate, and on-brand, and keep that voice consistent across every send.

Run the communications calendar: Translate the goals of grad leaders and senior team members into a calendar of shipped sends, and keep it moving every week.

Learn the Juno product and data model deeply:

Understand how a member moves from signup to rate offer to application to funded loan

Know what we hold on every member, where it lives, and what it can and can't tell you

Use that structure to build segmentation and personalization that hold up at scale

Get the audience right: Define who receives what by vertical, school, application stage, loan status, and timing. A mis-scoped audience is the most expensive mistake in this role.

Personalize at scale: Use member data and Liquid to tailor content, and help improve our personalization workflows over time.

Own measurement: Report on what each campaign did. Opens and clicks, but mostly applications started, applications completed, and loans funded. Bring the read to the team before anyone asks for it.

Run the test roadmap: Propose and run experiments on subject lines, messaging, timing, and sequencing, and keep a record so we stop re-learning the same lessons.

Keep the program clean and compliant: Route messaging through compliance review, maintain suppression and deliverability hygiene, and keep the account organized enough that someone else could pick up your work.

Use AI as a multiplier: Draft, edit, QA, and analyze with AI tools: copy variants, segment logic, Liquid, and post-send analysis. We expect the work to move faster because of them, and we expect you to catch it when the output is wrong.

What We Offer

Compensation: Base salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus.

Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, plus 401(k) matching.

What We’re Looking For

Background: Typically 1 to 4 years in marketing communications, email marketing, CRM, PR, or content.

Hands-on experience with an email platform (Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze, HubSpot, Mailchimp) is a strong plus; we'll teach you our setup.

Open to a communications or PR professional who wants to own a high-volume channel, or an email marketer who wants to sharpen their writing and data skills

Excellent writing: You can write a short, clear email or text that gets someone to take one action, and you can adapt your tone for students, parents, and graduates.

You value direct communication: You see email and SMS as among the most powerful ways to reach people, and you want to get better at them.

Comfortable with data: You can read a campaign report, reason about an audience, and tell a real result from noise. You don't need SQL on day one, but you should want to
