<p><strong>Mission Brief </strong></p> <p>We are seeking a hands-on <strong>Manager Network & Systems Administration </strong>to lead, maintain, and modernize our hybrid infrastructure. In this role, you will act as both a technical lead and an infrastructure owner, bridging our on-premise virtualization, enterprise networking, and multi-cloud environments.</p> <p>This is a <strong>hands-on lead position</strong> designed for a senior engineer who excels at architecture, network engineering, and troubleshooting while serving as the primary technical authority for our infrastructure. You will be responsible for end-to-end reliability, system security, network connectivity, and overseeing automated deployment workflows—from bare-metal hypervisors to cloud routing.</p> <p>Your Role in Our Space Mission: </p> <p><strong>Technical Leadership & Operations</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Hands-on Infrastructure Leadership:</strong> Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) and escalation point for all systems, virtualization, and network architecture.</li> <li><strong>Vendor & Asset Management:</strong> Oversee infrastructure vendor relationships, license agreements, hardware lifecycles, and service level agreements (SLAs).</li> <li><strong>Incident & Capacity Planning:</strong> Lead major incident responses, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and proactively monitor capacity across storage, compute, and network links.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Multi-Cloud & Virtualization Management</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Administration:</strong> Design, secure, and maintain scalable infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and IONOS Cloud.</li> <li><strong>On-Premise Virtualization:</strong> Oversee, optimize, and maintain our enterprise hypervisor clusters using VMware vSphere (ESXi/vCenter) and Proxmox VE (KVM/LXC).</li> <li><strong>Disaster Recovery & Data Protection:</strong> Plan, implement, and test automated backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies across all platforms.</li> <li><strong>Infrastructure Automation Concepts:</strong> Understand and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) workflows (Terraform/Ansible) to streamline server provisioning, configuration management, and patching.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Enterprise Networking & Security</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Network & Connectivity Management:</strong> Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network architecture involving Cloud VPCs, Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs, VLAN segmentation, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.</li> <li><strong>Traffic Management:</strong> Manage load balancing, ingress routing, and perimeter security to ensure high availability and zero-trust access principles.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualification Checklist</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Operating Systems:</strong> Advanced, expert-level proficiency in <strong>Debian</strong> and/or <strong>Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Virtualization:</strong> Deep hands-on expertise with <strong>VMware (ESXi/vCenter)</strong> and <strong>Proxmox VE (KVM/LXC)</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Cloud Platforms:</strong> Proven experience managing production environments in <strong>Azure</strong> and <strong>AWS</strong> <em>(familiarity with IONOS Cloud is a major plus)</em>.</li> <li><strong>Networking & Firewalls:</strong> Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF routing, DNS, Load Balancing (HAProxy/Nginx), enterprise Firewalls, and IPsec VPNs.</li> <li><strong>Automation & Scripting (Conceptual):</strong> Solid conceptual understanding of <strong>Ansible</strong>, <strong>Terraform</strong>, <strong>Bash</strong>, or <strong>Python</strong>—ability to read, understand, run, and troubleshoot existing playbooks and scripts.</li> <li><strong>Storage & Backups:</strong> Experience managing enterprise storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SAN) and backup tools (e.g., Veeam or built-in virtualization snapshot engines).</li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of hands-on experience in Systems Administration, Network Engineering, or Cloud Architecture, with demonstrated experience acting in a lead or senior capacity.</li> <li>Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and maintaining hybrid cloud and multi-site network environments.</li> <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical requirements and business objectives.</li> </ul> <p>Bonus Skills</p> <ul> <li><strong>Linux:</strong> Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE)</li> <li><strong>Cloud:</strong> Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Solutions Architect</li> <li><strong>Networking/Virtualization:</strong> VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP)</li> </ul> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Benefits </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span lang="EN-US"><strong>Employee Participation Program:</strong> Share in our success through our virtual compa
