The Staff Accountant provides day-to-day accounting support within the accounting operations team. This role is responsible for managing billing and cash application activities, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, supporting month-end close processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. • Enter and apply cash receipts within the accounting system. • Process and manage billing transactions for clients. • Reconcile billing discrepancies and ensure timely, accurate invoicing. • Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with month-end close activities. • Prepare monthly accruals and create journal entries for accrual postings. • Complete ASC 606 revenue recognition files and related reporting activities. • Prepare and maintain Excel-based reports and supporting documents. • Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. • Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve outstanding accounting or billing issues. • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. • 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger support. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Comfortable working in a structured, process-oriented environment with client-specific procedures. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy mindset. • Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong computer and general office skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational, documentation, time-management, multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
