In this position, you'll be working to define the technical direction of our next-generation hardware platforms. You’ll work closely with Architects, Engineering, Operations, OEM/JDM Partners and Support & Escalation Teams. You'll be responsible for the future of Pure’s high performance storage systems, acting as the primary subject matter expert for system hardware across executive, product, and client interactions..</p> <p data-path-to-node="6"> </p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define system-level hardware architecture for FlashBlade, including compute, memory, interconnect, storage, power, and thermal design.</li> <li>Translate product requirements and customer needs into clear technical specifications and design trade-offs.</li> <li>Evaluate and select key components, technologies, and vendors, and lead make-vs-buy decisions.</li> <li>Drive architecture reviews and design reviews, and ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance targets.</li> <li>Partner with firmware and software teams to define hardware/software interfaces and optimize the full stack</li> <li>Track emerging technologies and industry standards, and shape the long-term hardware roadmap.</li> <li>Work with manufacturing and supply chain on DFM/DFT, yield, cost reduction, and component risk.</li> <li>Strong understanding of X86 architecture and proven design track record</li> <li>Solid understanding of Major Bus technologies: PCIe, Networking, Serial Busses (I2c, SPI, etc.)</li> <li>Improve design and qualification processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and product robustness</li> <li>Mentor engineers and help set architectural standards and best practices.</li> </ul> <p data-path-to-node="6"> </p> <p><strong>WHAT YOU BRING</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with either:</li> <ul> <li>Masters with 7+ years of professional work experience.</li> <li>Bachelors with 10+ years of professional work experience </li> </ul> <li>Experience working at hyperscale or enterprise hardware companies preferred (Storage, Server, Networking)</li> <li>Proven track record of taking complex hardware products from concept to volume production.</li> <li>Deep knowledge of hardware design, x86 architectures and interfaces. </li> <li>Strong understanding of system-level trade-offs across performance, power, cost, and schedule.</li> <li>Ability to architect complex systems, involving compute, storage and I/O.</li> <li>Experience working with firmware and software teams on hardware/software co-design.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence across teams and levels.</li> <li>Detail oriented, analytical, and customer focused yet flexible and adaptable to business needs.</li> <li>Highly self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, technical development environment.</li> </ul> </div> </div> <p> #LI-ONSITE</p> </div> </div><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p> </p> <p><em>Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location.
