The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on experience with journal entries and accruals, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar financial platforms. This role is suited for a finance professional who values accuracy, maintains strong financial controls, and can manage multiple accounting activities while meeting reporting deadlines. Requirements Key Responsibilities โข Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. โข Prepare, review, and post journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. โข Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate their resolution. โข Prepare and review accruals, provisions, and other accounting adjustments. โข Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. โข Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and controllership activities. โข Analyse account balances and provide explanations for variances identified during financial close cycles. โข Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and maintained within ERP systems. โข Follow established internal controls, accounting standards, and financial procedures. โข Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting queries and discrepancies. โข Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. โข Maintain organised and accurate accounting records for reporting and audit purposes. โข Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and improve process efficiency. โข Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting function.
