We are committed to building a best-in-class organization by empowering top talent with the resources, autonomy, and support needed to deliver results and advance their careers in a high-performance environment.</p></div><p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Role Overview </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As a Front Door Waste Technician, you manage the Cortland Front Door Program of a multimillion dollar, multifamily apartment home. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Rule Follower </span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Clean area around accidental waste spills, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Adhere to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Follow all required safety policies and procedures </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Report and take pictures during work shift via a smart phone application; log start and end time of valet service with a mobile app </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Interact with customers, management, and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes receive service in a timely and professional manner </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Caretaker </span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Monitor for evidence of unacceptable waste at all time </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Unload the truck or trailer into onsite waste containers and safely operate the packing mechanism to activate onsite trash compactors when applicable </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Clean waste from around the compactor or dumpster area and safely clear obstructing debris from the compactor as needed </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Walk distances and climb flights of stairs for periods of time to deliver valet trash services </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Climb in and out of the cab of the vehicle or walk alongside to load refuse, waste, and recycling; lift and carry trash and recycle bags and other items weighing up to 50 pounds to the truck or trailer for transportation </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The Clean Freak </span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Collect waste bags from apartment home communities </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Place waste bags into leak-proof hampers or trash cart </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Transfer waste from hamper/cart into designated vehicle provided by the property </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Dispose of all waste bags into the compactor onsite </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Remove waste from dog pods, common areas, poolside, and mail kiosks; replace trash bags </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Check surrounding doorstep areas, sidewalks, and parking lots for loose trash and collect it </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">High school diploma or equivalent preferred </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Strong year of experience in waste industry or service-focused environment </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Knowledgeable of pertinent laws including EPA and OSHA regulations </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency in English; bilingual is a plus </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to interact with residents, workers, and staff professionally and enthusiastically </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to read, interpret, and apply written instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Capability to operate a motor vehicle and drive locally to properties as needed </span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Capacity to work outdoors and willingness
