This role sits within Edeneve, our cosmetics brand built within the Sunday Natural and Yoshi en ecosystem. Edeneve focuses on high-quality skincare with a strong emphasis on natural ingredients, transparency, and modern formulation science. We are looking for a Working Student in Cosmetic Science (all genders) to join our formulation and R&D team on-site in Berlin. This role is hands-on and lab-focused, offering you the opportunity to take concepts from the lab bench directly toward market-ready products while working alongside senior formulation experts. • Formulation Development: Assist in developing and optimizing skincare formulations with an emphasis on natural, active ingredients. • Hands-on Lab Work: Perform formulation trials, batch preparation, and sample creation in our laboratory. • Testing & Quality Control: Conduct stability tests, compatibility studies, and baseline quality assurance checks. • Raw Material Evaluation: Support the assessment of active ingredients, functional raw materials, and green alternatives. • PIF & Compliance Documentation: Maintain precise experimental documentation and technical specifications required for Product Information Files (PIFs). • Lab Standards: Help maintain laboratory instruments (pH meters, viscometers, centrifuges) and uphold clean lab operations. • GLP Adherence: Ensure all laboratory procedures strictly follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and safety standards. • Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate with regulatory managers, product development leads, and external testing labs. • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. • Initial practical or academic experience working in a formulation or chemistry lab setting. • Fundamental understanding of GLP/GMP guidelines and lab equipment operation. • Solid understanding of cosmetic formulation chemistry, particularly skincare emulsions and serums. • Passion for green chemistry, clean beauty, and sustainable active ingredients. • Structured, detail-oriented, and meticulous working style. • Availability for regular, part-time on-site work in our Berlin laboratory. • Fluent in English; German or other language skills are a plus. • Hands-on R&D Experience: Real laboratory work on live product pipelines and formulation launches. • Mentorship: Close collaboration with experienced industry scientists and senior formulators. • Product Discounts: Generous employee discounts across all Yoshi en & Edeneve product lines. • Paid Leave: 28 days of paid vacation per year plus up to 5 additional off-days between Christmas and New Year. • Health & Transit: Urban Sports Club membership allowance and BVG public transport subsidy. • Modern Workspace: Located at Grasblau in Berlin — a bright, sustainable office and lab space with unlimited organic tea and superfoods.
