What you will build: • Screening tools that read thousands of company websites and sort an M&A longlist into fits, non-fits and maybes - each with a written rationale. • Pipelines that extract financials from annual reports, filings and data exports, validate them, and produce clean Excel outputs. • Generators for Excel and PowerPoint deliverables along MP's style guide. • Agent skills and workflows on our AI platform, complete with evaluation sets to measure the share of correct outputs. • Small internal web apps including proper access control and documentation in order for others to run them. What we expect from you: • Ongoing or completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in either computer science, data science, machine learning, engineering or a quantitative field. Alternatively, an equivalent track record of things you have built — please share GitHub, portfolio or demo links with your application. • Solid Python knowledge beyond notebooks, and everyday Git: branches, pull requests, code review. • Hands-on work with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI or open models): prompts for structured extraction, function/tool calling, and evaluation. • Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON and basic SQL. • Productive use of AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) • Fluency in English; German or another European language is a plus. • A genuine interest in finance, M&A and the fast-moving world of international transactions. • Discretion: you will see confidential deal information.
