The selected candidate will provide engineering and administration support.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Performs engineering work concerned with the analysis, planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading of Storage Area Network (SAN) systems at an Enterprise level.</li> <li>Performs various tests and documents results.</li> <li>Administers and maintains Enterprise SAN.</li> <li>Provides technical support and troubleshooting of all SAN components.</li> <li>Assists in the maintenance and operation of all SAN components and provides experience and input to support the Government for the acquisition of SAN related hardware and software.</li> <li>Configures and administers storage arrays, fiber switches, and associated components.</li> <li>Manages configuration and administration of data restore, disaster recovery, and backup clients/servers.</li> <li>Configures and administers file sharing on NAS devices over various communications protocols (e.g., CIFS, NFS, and SMB).</li> <li>Maintains storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocation, and change management.</li> <li>Sets up procedures to consolidate data storage from different platforms, including Windows, UNIX, and Linux.</li> <li>Troubleshoots and fixes storage issues; performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.</li> <li>Performs storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.</li> <li>Documents operational procedures and participates in the design and ongoing refinement of storage policies.</li> <li>Prepares reports on best practices and new technologies to recommend enhancements and configuration changes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>Three (3) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage).􀯗 Hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management; operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using software such as Veritas NetBackup.</li> <li>Two (2) years hands-on experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) IT systems.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Clearance:</strong> <ul> <li>Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Certifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Must have a compliant DoD 8570 IAT II Certification such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH</li> <li>Must also have one of the following current certifications: <ul> <li>AWS CSA Associate</li> <li>AWS CSA Professional</li> <li>GIAC GDSA</li> <li>MC: Azure AA</li> <li>MC: Azure SAE</li> <li>NetApp Certified Data Administrator</li> <li>NetApp Certified hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer</li> <li>NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect</li> <li>NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator</li> <li>NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist, ONTAP</li> <li>NetApp Certified Technology Associate</li> <li>Pure Certified Data Storage Associate</li> <li>Pure Certified FlashArrayTM Implementation Specialist</li> <li>Veritas Certified Specialist - NetBackup.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Location: </strong> <ul> <li>Must reside within commutable distance of one of the following locations in order to work onsite full time: <ul> <li>Columbus, OH</li> <li>Dayton, OH</li> <li>Hill AFB, Utah</li> <li>Richmond, VA</li> <li>Tracy, CA.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Certifications from multiple vendors including Pure, NetApp, Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cloud.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment and Physical Demand:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work from a computer for extended hours in an office environment and be able to work from comm closets when/as needed.</li> </ul> <p>The projected salary range for this position is $110,000+ annually.
