The ideal candidate will be an experienced Bridge professional with a solid technical design background. In addition to technical expertise, the perfect candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to strategic initiatives to advance our Railroad Division's growth in the region. </p> <p>Benesch’s Railroad Division is made up of highly skilled rail professionals, many of whom are former employees of operating railroads. This firsthand experience working on designing and maintaining active rail systems uniquely equips our team to develop innovative solutions to a wide variety of rail projects. </p> <h5>Location</h5> <p>This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with the option to work from either our Cincinnati, OH, or Jacksonville, FL office. </p> <h3>The Impact You Will Have</h3> <ul> <li>Performing basic analysis of project elements</li> <li>Performing load development, designing calculations of project elements, and checking work</li> <li>Preparing organized structural calculations</li> <li>Designing structural elements and details</li> <li>Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner</li> <li>Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned</li> <li>Working independently under the guidance of a Project Manager</li> </ul> <h3>What We Are Looking For</h3> <ul> <li>BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline</li> <li>MS in Civil Engineering preferred</li> <li>PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years of structural design experience</li> <li>Excellent communication and client relation skills.</li> <li>Detail-oriented and experienced with developing plans and specifications</li> <li>Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.</li> <li>Ability to perform complex analysis and design using a variety of structural engineering software</li> <li>Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide engineering mentorship <span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">#LI-AG1</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <h3></h3> <h3>Why Benesch?</h3> <p>It’s simple.
