In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. As a Designer you will create engineering models, perform analysis and designs, and produce supporting calculations and documentation. You will also coordinate the drafting of project elements for various clients. <strong><em>Recent Graduates are encouraged to apply! </em></strong></p> <h5>Location</h5> <p>This position will be based out of our Austin, TX office.</p> <h5>The Impact You Will Have</h5> <ul> <li>Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.</li> <li>Draw design details under direction of others.</li> <li>Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.</li> <li>Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.</li> <li>Coordinate drafting of design elements and construction plans.</li> <li>Perform field or site visits as needed.</li> <li>Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.</li> </ul> <h5>What We Are Looking For</h5> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.</li> <li>E.I.T (and desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.</li> <li>Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.</li> <li>Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks.</li> <ul> <li>The position may include the need to perform Field Inspection and may require occasional travel to project sites. </li> </ul> <li>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)</li> <li>Detailed, and organized individuals who thrive in environments that are deadline driven. </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <h3></h3> <h3>Why Benesch?</h3> <p>It’s simple.
