<p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our Engineering team and help design, build, and deploy robotic and automated systems that support FF's vehicle production and next-generation mobility products. You will work at the intersection of mechanical design, electrical/controls engineering, and software, developing robotic solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.</p> <p> </p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>- Design, prototype, and integrate robotic manipulators, AGVs, end-effectors, and fixtures used in vehicle assembly and testing</p> <p>- Develop and tune motion control, kinematics, and path-planning algorithms; program industrial robots (FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or similar) and PLC-based automation systems</p> <p>- Integrate vision systems, force/torque sensors, and other feedback devices for adaptive robotic operations</p> <p>- Build and run test plans to validate robotic cell performance, cycle time, repeatability, and safety compliance</p> <p>- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and product design teams</p> <p>- Maintain technical documentation including design specs, risk assessments, and SOPs</p> <p>- Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and increase reliability of existing systems</p> <p> </p> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <p>- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or related field</p> <p>- 1-3+ years of hands-on experience designing, programming, or maintaining robotic or automated systems</p> <p>- Working knowledge of robot kinematics, motion control, and PLC/HMI programming</p> <p>- Proficiency in Python or C++</p> <p>- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)</p> <p>- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working hands-on with hardware</p> <p> </p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>- Experience with ROS/ROS2, robotic simulation tools (Gazebo, RoboDK), or digital twin platforms</p> <p>- Familiarity with automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments</p> <p>- Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) for robotic guidance or inspection</p> <p>- Fluency in English and Chinese is a plus</p>
