We are looking for a Primary School Design Technology and Innovation (DTI) Teacher for a bilingual school in Hangzhou. This position starts in February 2027 for the 2026/27 academic year. Job details • Teach engaging, age-appropriate DTI lessons to students in Grades 1–5, developing design thinking, digital literacy and foundational engineering skills • Plan lessons aligned with the school’s PYP framework and UK and Chinese National Curriculum standards, incorporating coding, robotics and hands-on prototyping • Use inquiry-based learning and differentiated instruction to support diverse learners, including students learning English as an additional language • Teach primarily in English and contribute to a bilingual learning environment that values Chinese and international perspectives • Collaborate with mathematics, science, ICT and art teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects linked to STEM/STEAM and sustainability • Assess progress through portfolios, presentations and project rubrics, maintain accurate records and provide constructive feedback to students and parents • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment, promoting positive behaviour and restorative practices • Lead or support robotics, coding or maker clubs, and contribute to STEM/STEAM fairs and innovation showcases • Participate in curriculum planning, team meetings and professional development • Ensure the safe use of tools and materials, and conduct risk assessments for practical projects and field trips Requirements • Fluent spoken and written English; • Ability to teach primary-level design technology, coding, robotics and practical design projects • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction and cross-curricular STEM/STEAM teaching • Strong classroom management, assessment, communication and collaboration skills • Commitment to safe practical learning, cultural awareness and developing a growth mindset in students Benefits Salary and benefits • Monthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB, commensurate with experience and background • Insurance coverage • Free apartment • Flight allowance • Work meals provided • Relocation allowance • Tuition waiver
