This team member will be an integral part of the Health and Environmental Safety team at the Oyster Creek site. </p> <h3>Key Responsibilities Include:</h3> <ul> <li>Oversee Environmental programs at Braskem Oyster Creek and Seadrift Facilities</li> <li>Develop and plan policies and procedures for air, water, and waste systems in accordance with organizational and government rules and regulations.</li> <li>Audit air, water, and land systems for environmental compliance with federal and state regulations.</li> <li>Create and/or oversee reports such as Emissions Inventory, Toxic Release Inventory, NSPS VV/DDD, HRVOC (Oyster Creek only), and Annual Waste Summary to submit to regulatory agencies.</li> <li>Interface with regulatory agencies, schedule any required testing, and provide additional follow-up documentation as required.</li> <li>Support operations on issues related to flares and waste management.</li> <li>Lead and/or participate in investigation of environmental incidents and implement system improvements to reduce potential for future events.</li> <li>Lead environmental improvement and waste reduction projects to help meet company sustainability goals.</li> <li>Seadrift support will include overseeing consultants tracking air permit, LDAR, and waste management compliance.</li> <li>Acts as the Radiation Safety Officer for the site.</li> <li>Interface with Industrial Park HES representatives as necessary</li> </ul> <h3>Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>5 – 10 years of experience, preferably at a chemical manufacturing facility.</li> <li>Good leadership and communication skills, excellent MS Office proficiency and organizational skills, and the ability to interact and negotiate effectively with members at all levels within the organization.</li> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science</li> <li>Demonstrated experience applying EPA/OSHA regulations and working with regulatory agencies.</li> <li>Effective oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.</li> <li>Strong initiative and drive to succeed</li> </ul> <h3>Preferred Skills:</h3> <ul> <li>3 years of leadership experience in an HES department.</li> <li>Certification or licensure in the HES field.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>What we offer</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">At Braskem, we offer more than just a competitive pay package.
