We are actively hiring for a Senior Commercial Actuarial Pricing Manager (Auto)! Your Role: As a Senior Commercial Actuarial Pricing Manager (Auto), you will lead and develop Actuarial Analysts and Consultants, providing coaching, training, and direction across a variety of pricing and analytical projects. You will oversee actuarial analyses, support business decision-making, and ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality. The role includes regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external clients, requiring the ability to build trusted relationships and effectively communicate analytical insights and recommendations. Your Work: • Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external clients, via project development. • Responsible for human resources functions to include recruiting and interviewing prospective employees, conducting performance appraisals, recommending salary actions including promotions and terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures in conjunction with management, recognizing employee’s achievements and counsels employees on performance issues, promotes growth and development of staff thorough coaching and mentoring, provides feedback and guidance to staff relative to productivity. • Review work of Consultants and Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects within the required time frame. • Manage and train Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts within the department. • Manage Teams time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership • Demonstrate the ability to balance the achievement of business results with constrained human capital • Provides effective challenge to leadership Required Experience, Education and Skills • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 6 years of post bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on commercial insurance Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 4 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance • 3+ years commercial insurance experience • ACAS (Associate in Casualty Actuarial Society) • Requires strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills • Have a solid understanding of the market landscape • Requires the ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training, guidance and constructive feedback to professional staff What would make us excited about you? • 3+ years experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity • FCAS • Experience performing account-level rating and pricing analyses for complex or high-value commercial insurance opportunities. • Experience serving as a client-facing partner, presenting analyses, recommendations, and pricing strategies to internal and external stakeholders. • Expert-level problem solving and critical thinking skills. • Proven oral and written communication skills, including the ability to give formal presentations. • Experience performing account-level rating and pricing analyses for complex or high-value commercial insurance opportunities. • Proven team leadership ability. • In depth knowledge of the Commercial Auto industry and knowledge of the Commercial insurance marketplace in general. • Ability to prioritize work, organizes time, and balances multiple projects • Creates a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe environment, demonstrating authenticity and fostering trust to inspire and empower team members and colleagues • Actively shapes our company culture through words and actions (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional projects, encouraging team member involvement in these activities) • Champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: interviewing candidates, building relationships with team members, etc.) • Translates our enterprise strategy and priorities for their team members to connect to the bigger picture • Demonstrates a company ownership mindset, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area • Travels as needed for role, including enterprise meetings, divisional / team meetings, and other in-person meetings • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc Please note we are hiring for this role remote anywhere
