Here, you’ll find a team that values wellbeing, collaboration, and different perspectives, where passion and creativity push boundaries to create real impact. Your contributions will help shape a healthier, more balanced world for you and millions of people globally.

Join us in redefining the future of wellbeing!

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Staff Platform Engineer specialized in Observability for our Platform area in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil.

Wellhub runs at high scale, on many Kubernetes clusters. Our engineers need logs, metrics, traces and profiles they can trust, at a cost the business can sustain. We build and run this platform ourselves, on open source standards. Your mission is to make it a product that engineers choose to use, and not a set of dashboards they must ask for.

What you will work on:

Observability as a Service. A self-service platform that balances performance and cost. Hard problems: high-cardinality metrics, log retention, distributed tracing, profiling.

Golden Paths. Defaults that let a developer instrument code in minutes and get good signals without operating anything.

The platform itself. Collection, storage, query and alerting that stay reliable when the company grows. We also watch the watchers: the platform must tell us when it is broken.

Our stack includes Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Tempo, Pyroscope, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Crossplane and HashiCorp Vault. You will write code in Go, Ruby or Python to build our tools.

YOUR IMPACT

Our team does not run services for other teams. We build tools and abstractions so each team can own and run its own services end to end.

Your work will rest on four things: stability, performance, cost and evolution of the platform. In this role you will:

Review our current platform with fresh eyes. Say what is wrong, propose better solutions, and help the team evolve them.

Own our observability stack end to end. Keep it resilient, scalable and ready for growth.

Evolve the Kubernetes-based infrastructure it runs on.

Close the gap between complex infrastructure and developer experience. Build the abstractions that let teams manage their own observability.

Set standards and guidelines, and write them down through RFCs.

Work with the whole team day to day: pair on designs, review proposals, mentor engineers and help make decisions as a technical reference.

Live the mission: care for your own wellbeing and your colleagues'.

WHO YOU ARE

You like to remove friction. You want your work to help many engineers.

This role may fit if you have:

Built and run observability at scale (metrics, logs, traces), not only designed or used it. You can tell us what broke and what you changed.

Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS (or GCP or Azure), including networking and the real cost of moving data.

You possess excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese.

Deep, hands-on expertise with open source observability tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki or Tempo, and with OpenTelemetry collection and instrumentation.

A specialist's depth in the hard parts: high-cardinality data, retention and storage, query performance, and keeping the observability platform itself reliable.

A habit of reasoning from the constraint (cost, reliability, performance) and not from the tool. You can explain trade-offs and say what you do not know.

Experience building products for other engineers, with attention to adoption, ownership and developer experience.

Strong software engineering skills. You write code to build tools and automation.

Fluent English and Portuguese, spoken and written.

Bonus points if you have:

Cost optimization for high-volume telemetry (FinOps).

Internal tools, CLIs or Kubernetes operators; Crossplane.
<l
