This role is ideal for physicians who want to support access to care for women without providing direct clinical care or daily operational supervision.  <h2>The Role: Collaborating Physician (1099 Contract)</h2> Midi Health is seeking licensed physicians in Mississippi and South Carolina to serve as Collaborating Physicians for our Nurse Practitioners 👉 This role does NOT include: <ul> <li>Direct patient care </li> <li>Daily operational supervision </li> </ul> The responsibility of this role is to fulfill the legal and administrative requirements of NP collaboration agreements in applicable states. <h2>Compensation (1099 Contract Role)</h2> <ul> <li>South Carolina: $300 per FTE per month </li> <li>Mississippi: $200 per FTE per month </li> <li>Paid monthly, per FTE </li> <li>✅ Training is paid </li> </ul> This is an asynchronous, remote-friendly 1099 role that fits easily alongside other professional work. <h2>License Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>A practice location in the state where you will serve as collaborating Physician</li> <li>Active, unrestricted, unencumbered MD or DO license in one or more of the following states: <ul> <li>South Carolina (SC) </li> <li>Mississippi (MS)</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Enter into Nurse Practitioner collaboration agreements as required by state law </li> <li>Maintain active licensure in good standing for the duration of the agreement </li> <li>Participate in state-specific administrative requirements, as applicable by state </li> </ul> State-Specific Requirements Mississippi ● Must have a practice location in Mississippi ● Review 20 charts per month ● Lead quarterly virtual meetings with collaborating NPs, held on the first Wednesday of the month South Carolina ● Must have a practice location in South Carolina ● No meeting or chart review requirement <h2>What We’re Looking For</h2> <h3>Required</h3> <ul> <li>Board-Certified MD or DO </li> <li>Active unrestricted, unencumbered medical license in SC or MS </li> <li>Willingness to serve as a collaborating physician of record for Nurse Practitioners </li> <li>Comfortable in a non-clinical, administrative role </li> </ul> <h2>Commitment Expectations</h2> <ul> <li>Agreement to cover at least 50% of collaborating physician slots in states where Midi operates </li> <li>Ability to maintain licensure and required documentation throughout the contract period </li> </ul> <h2>Why Physicians Apply</h2>  ✨ No direct patient care  ✨ No call  ✨ Fully remote (within the U.S.)  ✨ Paid training  ✨ Mission-driven impact on women’s health  <div class="content-conclusion">At this time, Midi is unable to provide visa sponsorship.
