<p><strong>Mission Brief </strong></p> <p>The Composite Technician is a mid-level, hands-on role focused on preparing materials and performing composite layup, vacuum‑bagging, curing, bonding, trimming, drilling, and finishing under the guidance of senior staff.<br>They read basic technical drawings and work instructions, follow strict safety and FOD‑prevention practices, and maintain tooling, equipment, and environmental controls.<br>They document process data and assist with in‑process inspections, nonconformity containment, and rework to meet quality standards.<br>With a strong learning mindset and attention to detail, the role supports the safe, efficient, high‑quality manufacture and repair of composite structures and components while building proficiency in modern materials and processes.</p> <p>Your Role in Our Space Mission: </p> <ul> <li>Execute complete CFRP manufacturing process from pre-preg lamination to final bonding and assembly</li> <li><span data-teams="true">Operation of heavy production machinery; including: Winding or AFP machines, cranes, forklifts and other various implements</span></li> <li>Support Manufacturing Engineering in tool design and procurement</li> <li>Support the manufacturing of assembly / bonding jigs</li> <li>Preparation of test specimens and precision/ sensitive parts</li> <li>Communicate with suppliers and external partners</li> <li>Assist composite manufacturing & machining technology procurement</li> <li>Work cross functionally with related departments (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Testing, Structures Design)</li> <li>Continuously improve already existing procedures and processes with a consistent focus on lean manufacturing</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualification Checklist </strong></p> <ul> <li>Educational background as composite technician required</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or repair of composite structures</li> <li>Hands-on experience with composite bonding and machining processes</li> <li>Experience with operating a wide variety of hand and power tools and shop tools</li> <li>Experience with composite manufacturing processes (prepreg layup, infusion technologies, etc.)</li> <li>Ability to follow manufacturing documents like production orders and ply books</li> <li>High level of self-reliance with the ability to work both in a team and autonomously</li> <li>Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others</li> <li>Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills</li> <li>Fluent English.
