This role combines hands-on manual testing with essential DevOps and operational responsibilities to ensure applications are reliable, functional, and ready for production. The ideal candidate will have a good foundation in software testing, practical experience with REST APIs and SQL databases, basic Python scripting skills, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments. Requirements Key Responsibilities โข Understand functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and execution reports. โข Perform manual functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing of web applications and backend services. โข Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools, validating request and response payloads, HTTP status codes, authentication, error handling, and business logic. โข Execute SQL queries to validate application data, perform database checks, and investigate data inconsistencies in MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server. โข Use Python scripting to develop small utilities, prepare test data, process logs, support API testing, and automate repetitive tasks. โข Assist with application deployments on Linux servers and perform post-deployment smoke tests. โข Execute Unix/Linux commands for file operations, permissions, process checks, service validation, environment verification, and log analysis. โข Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, severity, and expected versus actual results. โข Collaborate with developers to verify defect fixes and perform regression testing. โข Support release activities by coordinating with development and operations teams. โข Validate application health after deployments and escalate issues that may affect functionality or stability. โข Maintain test evidence, QA documentation, deployment notes, release checklists, and defect records. โข Follow established testing procedures, deployment practices, and quality standards.
