The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Windows administration, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, ESXi, PowerShell scripting, server upgrades, migrations, and patch management. This role requires a proactive infrastructure professional who can ensure system availability, security, performance, and reliability while supporting day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure improvement initiatives. Requirements Key Responsibilities โข Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments to ensure system availability, performance, and security. โข Manage Windows Active Directory, including user and group administration, authentication, access permissions, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs). โข Install, configure, monitor, and maintain VMware vSphere and ESXi environments. โข Manage virtual machines, resource allocation, virtual infrastructure health, and capacity utilisation. โข Develop and maintain Windows PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency. โข Plan and execute Windows Server upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure modernisation activities. โข Manage server patching, security updates, software updates, and maintenance schedules. โข Monitor infrastructure performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventive measures. โข Troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and virtualisation-related incidents. โข Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. โข Support infrastructure backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery activities as required. โข Follow established change-management, security, compliance, and infrastructure maintenance procedures. โข Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and incident reports. โข Collaborate with IT operations, security, application, and support teams to resolve infrastructure issues. โข Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability, automation, system performance, and operational processes.
