We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.</p></div><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p> <p><em> </em></p> <table width="672"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="672"> <p>As a critical member of the Finance Team, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for key corporate accounting and reporting deliverables, proper treatment and reconciliation of inter-company transactions, as well as various functional roles within the accounting department. </p> <p> </p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p><em> </em></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><em> </em></p> <table width="672"> <tbody> <tr> <td width="672"> <p><em>GL/Journal Entries/Intercompany/Customer AR</em> </p> <p>· Preparation and review of journal entries and associated documents as part of the corporate monthly financial close. </p> <p>· Monitors and reconciles intercompany transactions and related activities. </p> <p>· Prepares and reviews balance sheet account reconciliations monthly. </p> <p>· Works with other Enviva teams (Operations Accounting, Project Accounting, IT, Legal, etc..) to understand all transactions and events each period. </p> <p>· Interfaces with Enviva external auditors to support the annual financial audit.</p> <p>· Supports OSS customer invoicing and cash collection process as necessary.</p> <p>· Contributes to Corporate projects and initiatives as assigned</p> <p> <em>Internal Financial Reporting</em> </p> <p>· Compiles monthly financial reporting and analysis as it relates to company performance and results. </p> <p>· Communicates results and details of critical activity to financial planning and analysis team and commercial sales team. </p> <p>· Involved in cash management through working with Treasury team in helping to forecast cash flows </p> <p> <em>Process and Internal Controls</em></p> <p>· Constantly works to improve pre-existing processes.
