The selected candidate will provide engineering and administration support.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure.</li> <li>Provides technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.</li> <li>Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.</li> <li>Ensured that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Documents specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results.</li> <li>Depicts complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope and status to project teams.</li> <li>Develops, integrates, and oversees storage arrays, fiber switches, backup solutions, and associated components.</li> <li>Monitors and reports on existing data restore and disaster recovery capabilities.</li> <li>Provides recommendations on process improvement/efficiencies.</li> <li>Maintains and oversees data backup solutions to ensure mission objective are met.</li> <li>Researches, builds, and implements file sharing technologies to meet customer requirements.</li> <li>Troubleshoots and advises on advanced storage issues/deficiencies.</li> <li>Performs routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.</li> <li>Performs storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.</li> <li>Authors and reviews operational procedures/documentation in relation to new and existing technologies.</li> <li>Authors/documents policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment and participates in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policies.</li> <li>Prepares reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, etc., and recommends enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize existing storage technologies.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> <ul> <li>Three (3) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field. This includes evaluating, constructing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies.</li> <li>Two (2) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage).</li> <li>Hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management; operation of enterprise backup/restore services, using software such as Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity Cloud.</li> <li>Two (2) years hands-on experience working with Department of War (DoW) IT systems.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Clearance:</strong> <ul> <li>Top Secret Clearance or Secret Clearance with favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Certifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Must have a compliant DoD 8570 IAT II Certification such as: CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH</li> <li>Must also have one of the following current certifications: <ul> <li>AWS CSA Associate</li> <li>AWS CSA Professional</li> <li>GIAC GDSA</li> <li>MC: Azure AA</li> <li>MC: Azure SAE</li> <li>NetApp Certified Data Administrator</li> <li>NetApp Certified hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer</li> <li>NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect</li> <li>NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator</li> <li>NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist, ONTAP</li> <li>NetApp Certified Technology Associate</li> <li>Pure Certified Data Storage Associate</li> <li>Pure Certified FlashArrayTM Implementation Specialist</li> <li>Veritas Certified Specialist – NetBackup</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Location: </strong> <ul> <li>Must reside within commutable distance of either Richmond, VA or Tracy, CA in order to work onsite full time.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Certifications from multiple vendors including Pure, NetApp, Microsoft, AWS, and Google Cl
