The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server, combined with a solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, automated testing, and production support. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and globally distributed engineering teams. Requirements Key Responsibilities โข Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications using C# and .NET to support treasury technology and equities financing operations. โข Collaborate with business users to gather, clarify, and refine functional and technical requirements. โข Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. โข Design and optimise database structures, queries, stored procedures, and data access components using Microsoft SQL Server. โข Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture best practices. โข Build and maintain distributed applications and microservices with a focus on scalability, resilience, and performance. โข Develop and maintain automated tests, unit tests, and test-driven development practices to ensure software quality. โข Implement and improve CI/CD and DevOps workflows using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins. โข Support containerised application development and deployment using Docker. โข Implement monitoring, logging, and observability practices to improve application health and reliability. โข Diagnose and resolve complex production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive remediation measures. โข Identify opportunities to modernise systems, improve performance, and introduce technologies that enhance engineering productivity. โข Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. โข Collaborate effectively with globally distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones. โข Maintain technical documentation and uphold engineering, security, and ethical standards.
